BioTHANE

      BioThane is a unique, rapid, and renewable resource, hybrid polyurethane coating that provides exceptional adhesion to a variety of substrates. BioThane is a fast curing, VOC compliant, low-odor primer and broadcast receiver coat. Reference technical data sheet for more information.

      Storage

      Materials should be stored indoors between 60°F (16°C) and 90°F (32°C).

      Shelf Life

      One (1) year from date of manufacture.

      Limitations

      • Best suited for dry applications in temperatures between 45°F and 85°F.
      • Some micro-foaming and gassing may occur in the presence of surface moisture.
      • Do not add any solvents.
      • For newly poured concrete, BioThane should not be installed prior to 30 days.
      • Moisture testing must be conducted before application (ASTM F1869-11 or F2170-19a). Readings must be below 12 lbs/1,000 s.f./24 hrs or 82% internal RH.
      • Material should be thoroughly mixed to redistribute settlement before use.
      • Do not mix more material than can be applied in 10-12 minutes.

      Products Guide

      BioThane ResinPlant-based polyurethane designed for rapid recoats. Easily applied as a primer and broadcast coat when combined with BioThane Hardener at a 2:1 ratio.
      BioThane HardenerCures rapidly and consistently when mixed at a 1:2 ratio with BioThane Resin.

      Coverage Rate

      A gallon of BioThane covers 6-12 mils or 133-267 s.f. per gallon, depending on substrate condition and system type.
